Photographer Brian McCarty spent six years working on this photo book alongside renowned toy designers such as Frank Kozik, FriendsWithYou and Mark Nagata. Together, they staged their designer toys – sometimes in Times Square, sometimes in the Grand Canyon; sometimes dark, sometimes playful. The result is a magnificent collection of staged photographs. ‘Art-Toys’ not only showcases 100 of the most successful collaborations, but also offers, in the second part, a glimpse behind the scenes and an insight into the techniques used to create the individual photographs.
