Born on 20 January 1963 in Medford (USA), the artist Mark Ryden graduated in 1987 (specialising in illustration) from the Center Art College of Design in Pasadena (USA), but did not hold his first solo exhibition, ‘The Meat Show’, until 1998. He is now regarded as one of the most influential contemporary artists in the USA. Mark Ryden is married to the artist Marion Peck, with whom he has two children.
